Wanda Mae Lester, 87, passed away June 29, 2022. Wanda was born on May 28, 1935. Wanda worked for 14 years at Methodist hospital in the burn unit as a housekeeper. Wanda enjoyed gardening and seeing all the beautiful flowers throughout the seasons. Most importantly, Wanda loved her family and all the time she got to spend with them create lasting memories.
Left to cherish Wanda’s memory are her daughter Darlene Myers; daughter Connie Marshall; brother Bill (Mary) Stewart; sister Helen; granddaughter Carey (Jeffrey) Marshall and their children Heather Marshall, Hope Hamilton, Dakota Hamilton, Casey Hamilton; granddaughter Sarah Myers and her children Jordan, Romeo, Liliana; grandson Bryan (Stephanie) Myers and their daughter Isabelle.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lester, parents, daughter Barbara Wallace, 5 siblings, and granddaughter Tamera Stewart.
On Monday, July 11, 2022 a visitation will be held from 9-10AM with a funeral service to follow at 10-11AM at Sunset Memorial Chapel with a burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be a luncheon gathering back in the Chapel 11:30AM-1:30PM.
