Tammy Ann Sodergren

Tammy Ann (Erwin) Sodergren, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 17th, 2022, at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.


A celebration of life service will be at New Life Lutheran Church in Norwalk on Saturday, July 30th at 10:30 am, interment will be at the Norwalk Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 pm Friday evening at the church.


She was born on March 25th 1971 at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo Iowa. She was the daughter of David and Sharon (Hirsbrunner) Erwin. She was baptized April 11th 1971 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Iowa. She was confirmed on May 5th, 1985 at St John Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Storm Lake High school and attended AIB college in Des Moines.


There she was a nanny for Megan and Sara LaSuer for 6 years and worked at Montgomery Ward Optical. She then was united in marriage to Brian Lee Sodergren on October 18th, 1997 at Norwalk Christian Church. They were blessed with two children Briley and Corbin Sodergren. They originally lived in Des Moines but moved to Norwalk in 2003. She worked at Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25 years. As her kids moved through the school system she spent countless hours volunteering, helping teachers, PTO events, and helping in the concession stand. And of course, football, track, softball supermom by going to every sporting event. Getting to know lots of parents and their kids she would not hesitate to do anything for anyone. Many of the kids' friends looking at her as a second mom. The most important thing to her was family. The number of lives she has touched is truly immeasurable.


She will be missed very much. She is survived by her husband Brian, daughter Briley, son Corbin of Norwalk, mother Sharon Erwin of Norwalk, sister Renee Amantea of Des Moines, half-brother Ron Erwin of Evansdale, two nieces Brandi Amantea and Amber (Levi) Stevens of Des Moines. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, father David Erwin, half-brother Randy Erwin, and nephew Devin Amantea.
