Sandra Rhiner

Sandra Rhiner, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 25th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Sandra was born May 14, 1940, to Roy and Iola Rhiner. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, known for her unwavering strength, generous spirit, and love for her family.  Sandra leaves behind a legacy of care and connection that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Sandra is survived by her sister Peggy Lanscak, her five sons: Jack Richardson, John Richardson and wife Rhonda Richardson, Scott Richardson and wife Pamela Richardson, Joe Richardson and partner Lori Sweet, and Mark Richardson.  Sandra was the proud grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews who adored her carefree spirit.

Sandra was proceeded in death by her parents, Roy and Iola Rhiner, daughter Tina Miller, brothers Wayne, Donnie and Bill Rhiner, and sister Phyllis Bishop.  Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those who went before her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30th from 1 to 4 pm at the Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Dr. in Des Moines.  A celebration will be held on Monday, March 31st at 10 am, also at the Sunset Chapel.   Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.   Memorials may be directed at the family.
