Robert (Bob) Newcomb passed away on February 8th 2024 in his home in Des Moines.
Robert was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to father Edward Newcomb, and Mother Fay Newcomb. Robert moved to Waterloo, Ia where he met his best friend and soulmate Sandra Hubbs Newcomb. They were married in 1969 and started their life raising and loving their four children.
Family was always first in Robert's life. He showed his pride for his family to the rest of the world by working long hours driving a taxi to provide for the ones he dearly loved. When Robert wasn't driving a car, he was either working to fix a classic, or showing the vehicle in car shows. Robert also had a passion for country music. The songs he has shared with his friends and family will forever be remembered in his name.
Robert is preceded in death by parents Edward and Fay Newcomb, Brother Forest Newcomb, Sister Linda Newcomb, Wife Sandra Hubbs Newcomb, and Son Terry Newcomb.
He leaves behind his three children Ron, Robert Leroy, and Tina, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He will be missed dearly by all.
