Ray was 86 years old, born to Clay and Lois Gibbs Pryor. Ray loved doing outside work (trimming trees and bushes, also mowing). His occupation was a ‘grinder’ of optical lens for 18 years. He was a gentle man, honest, patient and quick to make friends.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marilyn (of 86 years) and four children: Christina Anderson (Jack) of Newton, IA; Ray Dean “Skip” (Becky) Pryor of West Des Moines, IA; Kenneth Pryor of West Des Moines, IA; and David Pryor (Margot) of Peru; four grandchildren: Lisa Umbaugh of Adel, IA; Trista Hills (Kyle) of Waukee, IA; Scott Anderson of Newton, IA and Joseph Anderson of Bakersfield, CA; six great-grandchildren: Kiersten Stout (Andrew), Jaxon Anderson, Emmerson Hills, Alison Anderson, Brix Anderson and Guthrie Wilson; and a brother, Guy Pryor of Des Moines, IA.
Ray was preceded in death by his great-grandchildren: Krystal Maple and Devin Pryor; brothers: Floyd, Clay, Wayne and Faye; sisters: Clara, Vivian and Presha.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
