Randy Blackford, age 62 passed away on Monday April 29, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1961, to Earl and Susan Blackford in Des Moines, Iowa.
Randy was a very loving son, nephew, and companion. He always made his family laugh. Randy was a Kanas City Chiefs fan and a Nascar racing fan. He loved to go to Disney World, not Disney Land which he made very clear to Connie, the love of his life.
Randy is survived by his mother, Susan Blackford; his father, Earl Blackford; aunt, Peggy Whitten; five cousins, Johnny, Steve, Jim, Scott, and Lanny; significant other, Connie Finley; her 4 children and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Naomi Cunningham and Earl and Vi Blackford.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321 with a funeral service at 12:00 pm and a burial to follow at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321.
