Pete Steven, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17th 2022.
Pete Henry Steven was born on March 21st, 1934 to Pate and Clara Steven in Des Moines Iowa. After graduating from Lincoln High School, he married his first love, Flora Fisher, in 1953. 2 years later, on March 16th 1955, his only son Mike Steven was born.
A retired Goodyear employee, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, tinkering, and attending jams where he loved to sing and entertain. Pete also loved to tell jokes and cook/bake.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Flora and son Mike, Nancy Steven, and last companion Joy King. His mother, father, 2 brothers (Charlie and George), 4 sisters (Betty, Garnet, Angeline, and Deloris), and many other friends and family also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sister Martha Blackford, granddaughters Maribeth (Benn) Stockton and Michelle (Souvanny) Sisouvanh, and 3 great-grandsons Duke, Wade and Link.
There will be a visitation in Pete's honor on Monday, May 23rd from 10am-12pm at Sunset Memorial Garden on Fleur Drive, with private burial to follow.
