Olive Julia, the daughter of Willard and Julia (Townsend) Smith, was born July 14, 1924 near Bedford, Iowa. She was the ninth of ten children. Olive graduated from high school in Hopkins, Missouri. On November 25, 1943 she married Donald Wyckoff. This marriage was blessed with five children.
Olive enjoyed crocheting (she made sure everyone had an afghan), as well as painting and square dancing. She liked hosting big Sunday dinners, and was especially skilled at baking and famous for making pies.
Olive passed away on March 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Richard and Brent, daughter Rhonda, eight siblings, and two great-grandsons.
Olive is lovingly remembered by her son, Craig (Patricia); daughter, Tammy (Craig) Brookhart; twelve grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Iva Ruth Sanders.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
