Justin M. Haney, 34, of Des Moines died March 7th, 2022. He was born February 13th, 1988 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ken and Cindy Haney. Justin graduated from Creston High School in 2006 and was currently attending DMACC and majoring in Business. Justin held
various jobs over the years in food service and hospitality and was well known by his fellow coworkers as always being a hard worker. He was extremely proud of his nieces and nephews and beamed with joy when he spoke about them. He had a passion for music and
he loved football; particularly the Bears and Broncos. He loved spending time with his best friend Skye Storm Carr and his family as well as traveling back to Colorado when he could. Bishop Castle was one of his most favorite places in the world.
Justin is survived by his parents Ken and Cindy Haney of Des Moines; his sisters Tasha Haney of Indianola, Angela Haney of Altoona, and Nicole [James] Hoselton of Des Moines. He also leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews, Jasmine Hoselton, Isaac Hoselton, Jeffery Hoselton, Emilia Haney, and Evelyn Haney. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Justin is preceded in death by grandparents Lawrence (Larry) and Donna Spoerry, Ralph and Helen Haney, and cousin James Haney.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Chapel (7601 Fleur Dr, Des Moines, IA 50321). Justin’s preference was casual attire so please wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, sports team, or band shirt.
