It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of JoLene (Jo) Hatcher, 72, a wonderful mother, grandmother, GG, great grandmother, and ray of light for all those lives she came in contact with. Jo was born in Storm Lake, Iowa on November 21, 1949. She graduated from Schaller Community High School in Schaller, Iowa. Jo passed away on May 24, 2022.
Earlier in her career, Jo worked various waitressing and nursing aide positions for about 12 years. She then transitioned into Collection and Debt Settlement, which she worked until her retirement. In retirement, she split her time between her daughter’s homes in Indianola, Iowa and Wataga, Illinois. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved anything related to the Beatles music and memorabilia. Jo enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family, watching her game shows, playing games on her tablet, and watching her soap operas.
Jo is cherished and survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Robert Priebe and Kim and Shane Stephens; her grandkids Michael, Cheyenne, Dylan, Desiree, and Garrett; her great grandchildren Liam, Faith, Zeus; her sister and her husband, JoAnn and Harold Reinboth; and a host of other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Helen Vannatta; her husband, Dwight
Hatcher; her grandson, George Kick, and her granddaughter in infancy Angelica Ross.
Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday morning on June 18th for a 10:00 AM viewing and 11:00 AM service at O’Leary’s Funeral Home. A fellowship and reception will be held after the service and committal.
