Diane J. Wolfe

Diane J. Wolfe, born December 7th, 1938, was led to the Lord on April 15th, 2025, by her dearly beloved Grandma Brown and Aunt Gretchen.

She enjoyed living on York St. in Des Moines.  As a young girl, Diane loved grade school and riding the trolley downtown with her lifelong friend, Nancy. Loving both sunshine and water, Diane spent many winters in Florida and spent summers having BBQs for her family by her pool. Diane also loved her Tuesday and Friday hair appointments with Myrna for 40 years. Diane was an amazing gourmet cook who loved cooking for her family. Diane was most proud of her four sons, whom she loved dearly. Over the past five years she shared countless stories of their adventures growing up. 

Diane is survived by her sons Brent (Doreen) Stroud and Eric (Jennifer) Stroud and leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and her sister, Ramona Rains. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Leonard Wolfe; and sons Scott Stroud and Steven Stroud.

Diane’s family would like to express gratitude for Hospice of the Midwest and Glen Oaks Residential Care for the excellent care and dignity they showed Diane.
