Delores (Dee) Holland, 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Taylor House Hospice Home in Des Moines. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, July 21st from 4 to 7 pm at the Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive in Des Moines.
Delores was born March 14th, 1941, in Earlham, Iowa to Harris and Ruth Kenworthy (Harris). Delores (Dee) married Robert (Bob) Holland on May 10th, 1985, joining 2 families of 5 children and having 1 daughter together. During her life Dee enjoyed gardening, golfing and hitting a slot machine or two over the years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to paint and was a talented artist. She also liked to travel.
Delores is survived by her husband Robert Holland, children Terry Jackman, Jerri Presnell, Lacy (Buddy) Harwood, Jim (Tracy) Holland, Lisa Holland, and Sam Holland. 11 grandchildren, Rachel, Samantha, Erika, Sidney, Riley, Ryder, Christina, Anna, Paul, Sammy and Madison and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by mother Ruth Harris Kenworthy, Father Harris Kenworthy, and brothers Tom, Keith, and Jerry Kenworthy.
