Charles Kent Culp (also known as Chuck), 67, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021. He was united in marriage to Mary Culp on June 1, 2004. They shared 17 years of marriage together.
Born on July 2, 1954, Chuck was in foster care; then at age 4, he was adopted by Lester and Inez (Oberholzer) Culp.
Chuck was a member of Grace Baptist Church. His hobby was model railroading. He was retired from Marquardt Skyway Transportation as a semi driver. He will be remembered for his love for his sister, brother, his 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary (Kline) Culp, daughter Jena (Mat) Cook, daughter Sarena Nutting, grandchildren (Lana, Kelsey, Izak, and Ehyeh), sister Joetta (Culp) Strickler, sister-in-law Pam Culp, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lester and Inez and brother John Culp.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens from 2-5pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church 112 Countyline Rd in Des Moines. (There will be a livestream). An interment following the funeral service will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens on 7601 Fleur Dr.
