Obituary
Bonita Isabelle Mohler of Altoona, Iowa passed away at the age of 94 on December 9, 2023.
Bonita was born on Nov 18th, 1929. She was the daughter of Bertha Isabell (Jones) and Lewis Wellington McFee of Lenox, Iowa.
Bonita married Arthur Martin Mohler on Aug 28th, 1949. They were married close to 50 years before Arthur’s death in 1999.
Bonita and Arthur were blessed with four children, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Bonnie was a stay-at-home mother for years until she went to work for 10 years for Joe and Paul Tursi at Park Avenue Shoe and Clothing. She then worked and retired from Farmland Insurance company.
After retirement Bonnie and Art built a lakefront home on Sun Valley Lake. Their retirement years on the lake brought family and friends together for a fun time full of special memories which continue to be shared by those that visited!
Bonnie attended the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona, Iowa. Her faith in God was important to her. She believed in the power of prayer and would pray for her family and friends. Her walk-in life was simple, smile, be friendly and be humble and kind to everyone!
If you knew Bonnie, you would know she had many interests throughout her life. Everything from sewing, bowling, playing cards, gardening, bird watching, golfing, decorating her home, bargain shopping to look spiffy, she enjoyed watching sports and would root for her favorite teams! She was a talented acrylic painter and loved sharing her paintings with family! She enjoyed cooking and sharing a good time with the ones she loved! Bonnie would talk about being part of a washboard band in which she would play the kazoo, she loved making others happy!
Preceded in death include her parents, 2 brothers Wayne and Kenneth McFee as well as other immediate Lenox family members. Her husband Arthur Mohler, son-in-law Randy Cory of Altoona, Iowa, and great-grandson Chase Mohler Lawrence of Maxwell, Iowa.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 15, 2023, from12:00 - 2:00 at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Memorial service will follow visitation and conclude with a family grave side service at Sunset Memorial Gardens
