Beverly Jean Rumley, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the home of her son Ronnie in Carlisle, Iowa. She was born on June 28, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Beverly was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She had a warm and compassionate heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. Beverly loved crocheting, creating beautiful handmade pieces for her family and friends. She also had a deep passion for gardening and took great pride in caring for her flowers, which brought color and happiness to her home. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Beverly is survived by her loving children: Eugene (Debbie) Carter, Jr., Ronnie (Ann) Carter, Valeria (Scott) Curry, and Dannella (Bobby) Awtry. She leaves behind nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4th at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa.

Beverly will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
