July 23, 1954 -- December 26, 2025

Becky passed away on the morning of December 26, 2025, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa.

Even though Becky suffered from Early Onset Alzheimer's, she had a full life. In her 20's, Becky worked at Iowa Lutheran Hospital as a CNA. She had many co-workers that were good friends. It was her calling to help people.

Becky was born in Des Moines, Iowa but also lived in other states Arizona, Oregon, and Oklahoma. Becky traveled to Phoenix, AZ to care for our mother after our father passed away. Later on, she traveled to Portland, OR to live with our eldest sister, Barbara and her family.

Becky was a talented artist and completed a graphic design certification while living in Phoenix. She continued to practice her artwork at home drawing portraits of family members.

Along with a group of friends from church, she traveled to Chickasha, OK and later to Oklahoma City. In Chickasha, she met her future husband of 18 years, Stanley Standridge. Becky continued to work as a CNA for in-home care and care centers. Becky sustained an injury and became disabled. In 2017, Becky moved back to her hometown of Des Moines so she could be closer to family.

Becky's family included those who preceded her in death: parents, Dorothy and Richard Bone, and oldest sister, Barbara Collins of Portland, OR and her husband, Stanley of Oklahoma City, OK.

Other family members include brother, Tom Bone (Sharon Smith) of Mesa, AZ; sisters Nancy Merrifield of Des Moines, IA and Marilyn (Michael) Sims of West Des Moines, IA; nephews Kyle Sims and Bryan Merrifield; nieces, Kristen Sims, Alison Servi and April Schnoor of Portland, OR.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel located at 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321. A luncheon will be held in the chapel immediately following the service.

Becky loved all animals. Any donations can be directed to the ARL of Iowa.

We will miss her affectionate nature and quick smile.
